Raised with her brother Julian in the northern California suburb of
Hillsborough, Anne Bartee attended the exclusive school of Castilleja
and then found her voice in Hollywood.
Paul Gayten liked that voice enough to consider Anne a favorite singer.
It is no coincidence she was later dubbed "The Voice."
Anne sang on four tracks produced by the Paul Gayten label,
Pzazz Records in Hollywood. One of those tunes became an instant hit
and it was called the 24th Day Of July, written in England by Barbara Ruskin.
That success led to another as Anne found appreciative crowds in England
equally fond of "The Voice."
Following that triumph, it was back to Hollywood, where Anne is now
hard at work on her new CD called, appropriately, Only In Hollywood,
set for release under the exclusive Yellow Brick Rose label.
